[Case Study] Preventing Bead Jamming to Achieve Stable Operation of the Disperser

We solved the issue of poor cleanability of the shaft seal! Here is a case study from a battery manufacturer.

Battery manufacturers that supply carbon slurry (negative electrode material) to bead mills using pumps have traditionally used rotary positive displacement pumps. However, the components of the pump quickly wear out due to particles contained in the liquid, necessitating frequent parts replacements and regular disassembly for cleaning, and they have been struggling with poor cleanability of the shaft seal area. For solutions to these challenges and requests, please download and view the PDF document. [Customer's Challenges and Requests] - There was a need for frequent disassembly and cleaning, but the cleanability of the shaft seal area was poor. - The components of the pump wore out quickly due to particles in the liquid, requiring frequent parts replacements. - Since they were using a screenless type bead mill, a small amount of beads occasionally leaked out, causing beads to get caught inside the pump, leading to abnormal stops or pump failures. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Sharpening Particle Size Distribution through Dispersion Process with Bead Mill

We will introduce a case where the bias of beads can be suppressed, resulting in a sharp particle size distribution!

At the material manufacturer, dispersion was carried out using a bead mill to micronize ceramics. However, there were challenges such as "the beads are unevenly distributed in the disperser due to pump pulsation, leading to over-dispersion" and "beads flowing out from the exit side of the bead mill, which can get caught in the pump and cause abnormal stoppage." For solutions to these challenges and requests, please download and view the PDF materials. 【Customer's Challenges and Requests】 ■ The beads are unevenly distributed in the disperser due to pump pulsation, leading to over-dispersion. ■ Beads can flow out from the exit side of the bead mill, getting caught in the pump and causing abnormal stoppage. ■ Due to small-batch production of various types, frequent liquid changes are necessary, resulting in a high cleaning frequency. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
